A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This page lists every cookie this site uses. There are five, and nothing else.
The short version
This site sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party cookies of any kind. It does not load fonts, scripts or images from anyone else's servers, so no other company is contacted when you read a page here. Nothing on the site follows you anywhere else.
That is why you see a short notice rather than a permission wall: under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for do not require consent. Ours are.

mmcsess, mmc_device and mmc_remember are marked HttpOnly, so JavaScript cannot read
them, and SameSite=Lax, so they are not sent when another site links to us.
Over HTTPS — which is everywhere on this site — they are also marked
Secure.
The site also keeps a few small notes in your browser's own storage (local
storage and session storage), for the same strictly necessary reasons. They stay
on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else: a safety copy of a
workout you are part-way through logging, so nothing you have typed is lost if
the page closes; your timer settings and where you were on a long list; whether
you have closed the "install the app" card; and, on the front page, whether you
have already seen or answered the free journal offer (mmc_journal),
so it is not shown to you again.
Videos
Exercise and challenge videos are embedded from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo. Nothing is loaded from them until you actually press play on a video. When you do, that provider will see your IP address and browser, and may set their own cookies under their own policy.
If you would rather that did not happen, do not play the video.
Turning cookies off
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every browser has this, usually under Privacy.
If you block mmcsess, you will not be able to sign in — it is the cookie
that remembers you are signed in from one page to the next. Blocking the others
is harmless: you will be asked for a two-step code more often, signed out each
time you close your browser, the cookie notice will keep reappearing, and prices
will be shown in pounds unless you pick a currency on each visit.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie, this page is updated before we do. The current version is always at www.mindfulmovementclub.com/cookies.php.
