Cookie Policy

Every cookie this site uses. There are three.

Last updated: 19 August 2026

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This page lists every cookie this site uses. There are three, and nothing else.

The short version

This site sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party cookies of any kind. It does not load fonts, scripts or images from anyone else's servers, so no other company is contacted when you read a page here. Nothing on the site follows you anywhere else.

That is why you see a short notice rather than a permission wall: under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for do not require consent. Ours are.

Name What it is for How long it lasts
mmcsess The session cookie. Keeps you signed in as you move between pages, holds the security token that protects forms from being submitted by another site, and remembers a part-finished registration or a meal you have not yet saved. It contains a random identifier and nothing about you. Until you close your browser, or after two hours of inactivity
mmc_device Set only if you use two-step sign-in and choose "remember this device", so you are not asked for a code every time. It holds a random token, not your details. 30 days
mmc_cookies_ok Remembers that you have seen the cookie notice, so it stops appearing. 1 year

mmcsess and mmc_device are marked HttpOnly, so JavaScript cannot read them, and SameSite=Lax, so they are not sent when another site links to us. Over HTTPS — which is everywhere on this site — they are also marked Secure.

The site does not use local storage, session storage or any similar technology.

Videos

Exercise and challenge videos are embedded from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo. Nothing is loaded from them until you actually press play on a video. When you do, that provider will see your IP address and browser, and may set their own cookies under their own policy.

If you would rather that did not happen, do not play the video.

Turning cookies off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every browser has this, usually under Privacy.

If you block mmcsess, you will not be able to sign in — it is the cookie that remembers you are signed in from one page to the next. Blocking the other two is harmless: you will be asked for a two-step code more often, and the cookie notice will keep reappearing.

Changes

If we ever add a cookie, this page is updated before we do. The current version is always at www.mindfulmovementclub.com/cookies.php.
